6 Fun & Flexible Ways to Make More Money (Right Now!)

Parents need time for themselves, and not everyone has family in the area to help watch kids while they’re out. Babysitting is still one of the most reliable ways to make money.

Start with word-of-mouth among friends and family. Once you’re comfortable, scale up with platforms like:

3. Assembly & Odd Jobs 🔧

If you’re handy—or just enjoy building IKEA furniture without tears—this one’s for you.

• TaskRabbit: furniture assembly, wall mounting, moving, cleaning, outdoor help, home repairs and painting

• Thumbtack: more specialized handyman projects

Think of it like being paid to play with Legos—only a bit more complicated and a lot more rewarding!

4. Tutoring 📚

Got a subject you love or know really well? Then you can make some serious extra cash by tutoring students online or in-person.

• Tutor.com: online tutoring in math, science, writing, medicine, finance, computer science, research, and more

• Care.com: connects you to local in-person tutoring opportunities on nearly any subject you can imagine

Tutoring gives you the opportunity to connect with others and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

5. Delivery Driving 🚗

Already enjoy cruising around with music, podcasts or audiobooks? Why not get paid for that drive?

• Amazon Flex: deliver packages at your own pace

• Uber Eats: deliver meals instead of boxes

This one’s flexible, straightforward, and works well if you like alone time in the car.

6. Mystery Shopping 🕵️

Want to get paid to shop?

Companies hire “undercover customers” to evaluate their service. Basically, you’re a spy with a shopping bag! 😎
